Overview of the course
Welcome to the Ancient Chinese “Qi” Body Clock!
The Chinese Body Clock is a traditional perspective on how the human body adapts to the rhythm and pace set by nature throughout the day. In other words, the human body is responding to the rise and fall of Yin to Yang, formulating a rhythm. In western medicine, our relationship to the sleep to wake cycle is called the circadian rhythm. In this course, we will explore eastern and western medical concepts and the similarities of both theories to improve our health!
This course will guide you through the 24hr daily cycle showing you how the life force energy, or “Qi”, moves through our bodily and energetic systems. Understanding where Qi is focussed in our body allows us to harness that Qi so as to become more productive, creative, passionate, connected, healthy and even rested. Some of the concepts covered in this course include:
What time is the best time to get up so you can “catch” the best energy
Why meditation, yoga or Qi Gong is practised in the mornings
The ideal times to connect with others, have sex and share feelings to get the most out of your experiences
The best time to learn, study and work intentionally
The best time for exercise for weight loss, cortisol reduction and mental-health
The ideal time to have difficult conversations to prevent / manage others getting overly emotional
What to expose your mind to in the evenings to support your mental health and soul
Unique theories on sleep and what our soul explores at night
